AMERICANO (Feature Length) - Writer / Director Jesus Beltran, Producers Amy Lo, Larissa Eisenstein
Illegal and broke, Eduardo Martinez is an unlikely all-American badass. He’s the very picture of the American male, from his Levi’s jeans, to his cool Eastwood swagger. But his brown, work-roughened skin tells another story. After fifteen years in the U.S, Eduardo’s training to be a butcher and boldly pushing forward, but his unshakeable faith in the American dream is put to the test when he falls for an older white woman, a cashier at the local grocery. In the battle between dream and reality, something has to give – but it sure as hell won’t be Eduardo.
Selected as one of five projects for the 2010 Sundance Creative Producing Lab.
